How to use Decodo in a web scraping pipeline

Decodo's residential proxy product routes requests from an existing scraper through its proxy network. Use it as a configurable network layer while leaving browser execution, parsing and data validation to the rest of your pipeline.

A practical workflow

1. Define the collection unit: a standalone request, or a sequence that needs the same session context. Choose the corresponding rotating or sticky-session behavior.
2. Attach the proxy configuration to the HTTP client or browser context that performs that unit of work. Keep location and session settings with the job metadata.
3. Inspect the returned status and content, extract the required fields, and store records alongside the final URL and collection timestamp.

When it fits

This pattern fits regional collection tasks and workflows where egress selection needs to be separated from scraping logic. It also makes it easier to change routing without rewriting the parser or the destination loader.

Boundaries

Proxy continuity and application login state are different concerns. Changing an IP does not automatically preserve cookies or complete an interaction. The proxy product does not supply your extraction schema, and successful transport does not prove that a response contains the expected data.
